The results of the recent University of the Philippines College Admission Test (UPCAT) for academic year 2011-2012 is out. About 60,000 senior high school students is taking the exam every year and this year’s test, only about 13,000 passed the tough entrance qualifier.

UPCAT is a 5-hour exam in English and Filipino that includes subtests on language proficiency, reading comprehension, mathematics, and science conducted in UP campuses nationwide for the upcoming “Iskolar ng Bayan”.
Aside from quality education and strict educational system every student gets from UP, it has also a Socialized Tuition and Financial Assistance Program (STFAP). STFAPÂ provides tuition discounts and additional financial assistance to deserving students in the form of monthly subsidies for living and travel expenses, and a book allowance.
