Rodeo Masbateño Festival is again taking the center arena to showcase the best of the Masbateño culture. Rodeo Masbateño is the only Rodeo event in the entire Asia held at the Cattle Capital of the Philippines, Masbate.
Local cowboys compete in western style rodeo events like bull riding and steed wrestling. Local amusements like the Carabao racing is also an attraction.

Held in April every year, Rodeo Masbateño Festival showcases ten competitive events for cowboys with their calves. One of the main highlights and the most awaited event is the “figure of eight” competition where the cowboy criss-cross around a group of barrels . There are also games for women such as the calf wrestling, bull riding, calf lassoing and carambola.


All events are held at the Masbate Centennial Sports Complex which has the Rodeo Arena.
This year, Rodeo Masbateño Festival is scheduled on April 11-16, 2011.
