Yes! Finally I got IT. Early this morning around 10AM I was still in a deep sleep when my cellphone rang and it was a stranger’s number. The madam on the other line was the secretary of RS2 Software Asia one of the companies whom I applied for, she asked me if I will be available in the afternoon and if I can swing to their office. Without asking the reason for it I then confirmed my attendance. The scheduled time was at 2PM but I was late because I was not able to anticipate the travelling time going to Tigbauan from Iloilo City so I arrived at almost around 3PM. But they weren’t bothered by my tardiness yet (as of for now). To cut it short the Operations Manager gave me some pieces of papers and it was the Employment Contract. He asked me to go over it and tell him my decision whether to take it or leave it. After reading the texts and clauses in the contract I signed it and finally Yes at last I got my first job after graduating in IT. I thought it was just a second interview. The position they offered me was a Junior Software Developer, not bad for a fresh graduate like me.
Thank GOD for this blessing, after months of waiting and hopping from one company to the other just to apply for any position and here it is now. I am part of the pioneer batch of new employees as the company opens its operations here in the Philippines. RS2 Software is a European based company that specializes in the payment industry. I am very excited to kick off my job this 1st week of September. Cheers!!!
