Kagay-an Festival is the biggest fiesta attraction in Cagayan de Oro City in honor of Saint Augustine. It is considered the biggest festival celebration in the entire province of Misamis Oriental held every 26th to the 28th of August yearly. The week-long Kagay-an Festival celebration includes: Kagay-an Agro-Trade Fair that features the native products, cultural shows, competitions, celebrity concerts, Miss Kagay-an, Higaonon Street Dancing which features colourful attires and cultural dances of the Higaonon tribe, Golden Float Parade and Halad sa Lambagohan.

Bicol has been one of the regions in the Philippines with a very strong devotion to the Mother Mary, a manifestation of the  great presence of Catholics in this country. Aliwan Fiesta 2010 Winners

Here is the list of winners of the Aliwan Fiesta 2010 competitions held in Manila. Iloilo dominated again the Aliwan Fiesta this year with three contingents namely; Dinagyang Festival – Iloilo City, Kasag Festival – Banate, Iloilo, and Paraw Regatta Festival – Iloilo City. Eventually Dinagyang Festival emerged as this year’s grand champion bagging the P1,000,00.00 cash prize from Manila Broadcasting Company (MBC) and the crown. And Kasag Festival landed as the 3rd runner up with Zamboanga’s Hermosa Festival as the 2nd runner up.
