Alubihod Beach is less than a kilometer long in the Eastern part of Guimaras Island. It is a strip of beautiful white sand beach with pristine clear waters surrounding it. A 45-min jeepney ride from Jordan Wharf or an hour boat ride direct from Iloilo City will take you to Alubihod in the town of Nueva Valencia.

Long before this getaway was developed many locals and people from Iloilo and nearby places have discovered this paradise and made this the best alternative for outings. Now resorts and cottages mushroomed the area to boost the tourism potential of this haven and accommodate more guests especially those who are coming from distant places. First class accommodation facilities was also built and tourists started to troop to Guimaras for a getaway as an alternative to the crowded Boracay.
What other things to do while in Guimaras? Well, many adventures are waiting for you in Guimaras! You can go on island hopping as you can in Boracay and of course get to enjoy diving and snorkeling. You can also visit the Lawi Marine Turtle Rescue Center and mingle with the sea turtles there. Upon returning to Alubihod don’t forget to enjoy the fresh seafood at a relatively lower prices and are guaranteed “FRESH”.
Some of the popular resorts in Alubihod are Raymen’s Beach Resort and Alubihod Cove.
Guimaras is truly more than just Mangoes!

How to Get There:
An overloaded jeepney dropping passengers off at the Crossing Alubihod
Iloilo is the gateway to Guimaras. From Ortiz Wharf in Iloilo City take the pumpboat to Jordan Wharf in the island of Guimaras. Then you have two options whether t take the tricycle or the public Jeepney to get to Alubihud. I suggest that you take the tricycle so that you can go directly to Alubihod taking away the hassle of being in an overloaded jeepney with passengers and cargos stuffed like sardines.
