For the first time I was able to meet up with the Skyscraper City (SSC) forumers who are based in Iloilo last Saturday, August 1, 2009. I joined the group (SSC – Iloilo) last April of 2009 with the enthusiasm to tackle things all about Iloilo in the Iloilo threads. In this side of the webspace forums you will find people who are really passionate to discourse on the things that’s happening in their beloved Iloilo. I’m not a true blue Ilonggo though  but I want to be an adopted Ilonggo.

The Food @ Imays

Collin Jasper steered the meet up, which was I think the second and the largest attended one in Iloilo. We had a guest visitor from SSC – Manila, Christian who joined us. The scheduled plan was what I’m looking forward to but since the weather did not permit it we turned it into something else interesting considering the roaring sound of wind and a blast ominous rain showers. Ominous because everybody has experienced the wrath of nature when typhoon Frank hit Iloilo. We met up at Coffee Break, The Avenue in Smallville. There were 8 of us who joined, BTW the majority of SSC – Iloilo members are based outside of Iloilo. Then we planned a dinner at the nearby Afriques Restaurant but it was fully reserved so we went to Club 21 but then again fully booked. We decided to just settle at Imays Restaurant. We enjoyed seafood sponsored by Mr. Collin Jasper. After the sumptuous meal we decided to unwind at the nearby MO2 Ice Bar and there we partied.  To check the attendance included: Me (Junnjun013), Collin Jasper, Christian, Kianshi, IAMME, Chymera, Alvin | ILONGGO and exploreaklan. Everything in the meet up were all expense paid by the generous Collin Jasper. We ended the party at around 2AM and located ourselves at a room in Iloilo Business Hotel.
